The Mithra Mela concept addresses a critical modern paradox: despite technological and societal advancements, humanity is increasingly afflicted by self-created maladies like communal clashes, religious intolerance, and political discord. This lack of fundamental unity hinders collective progress and peace.
The Chusquemple Mithra Mela is conceived as a progressive, bottom -up response to these challenges. Operating under the motto, "Unite for the Welfare of the World," the Melas are semi-formal, friendly platforms designed to generate a greater sense of belongingness, social responsibility, and shared destiny among diverse individuals and institutions.
The Mithra Melas are secular, community-focused gatherings promoting fundamental human unity, peace, and social responsibility. The primary level ones are the initial part of a bigger series of Mithra Melas across the length and breadth of the nation. These primary level 4-to-5-hour events, scheduled over six months starting Mid-January 2026, will feature prominent speakers and chief guests, directly engaging and inspiring grassroots communities to foster harmony and collaborative action—a vital counterpoint to the growing societal challenges of intolerance and discord.
The first of the series of Mitra Melas, which is being organized to promote greater unity and cooperation among diverse sections of the society irrespective of religion, race, caste and politics, will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 2:30 pm onwards at the Arts and Sports Club Hall, Engandiyoor, Thrissur District, Kerala.
We need donations and sponsors to make these events a reality and a success. As such, we have been compelled to raise a “Mithra Mela Fund”. We solicit generous contributions from your side to this “Mithra Mela Fund”.
Every month end the current status of the Fund (as to the amount of donations received, the expenditure incurred and balance) will be published in this website for public inspection. It will be done as a matter of our policy of upholding integrity and ensuring transparency in Accounting and Financial Matters.
Any contribution in this initial stage not only directly supports fostering community unity and positive social dialogue within the Thrissur region but also lay a strong foundation for scaling up the Movement to greater levels.
